Hey guys! One of my main goals with Diana Starts is to share what I’ve learned from blogging since 2006. You’d better believe I’ve made some big mistakes over the years. Some of them are basically irreversible. Some of them I’m still fixing today. In the hopes of helping some of you avoid problems I’ve had (and still deal with today), I’ll be sharing my top 5 most painful blogging mistakes (and how you can avoid them). And guess what…
5 Day Blogging Series: My Blogging Mistakes (And How to Avoid / Fix Them)
I’ll be sharing these over the next 5 days in a mini blogging series, running from Monday, July 9, 2018 – Friday, July 13, 2018.
Each day, I’ll share your most requested mistakes. My story. How I fixed it. And how you can avoid (and/or fix) these mistakes on your blog.
NOW CLOSED: Vote on the Mistake(s) That Interest You Most
Voting is now closed. Thank you to everyone who voted! Your top picks have been written and are linked in the previous section. Woop!
In the interest of providing you with the information you’d most like to see, I’ve gathered a list of mistakes I’m considering sharing. You can use this Google form to vote on the mistake(s) you’re most interested in until Friday, July 13, 2018. That’s right. I’ll be taking votes up to the very last day. So be sure to cast your vote, even if the blogging series has kicked off. Though, the sooner you vote, the better chance your mistake of choice will be blogged.
How to Get the Series
If you want to see the mistake posts as soon as possible, be sure to follow me on social media (@thechiclife on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram). I’ll post links when each post goes live.
Email subscribers will get these delivered to their inbox next Sunday. Shout out to my subscribers. Woop! And if you’d like to join the family, go ahead and sign up. We’d love to have you!
Or you can click on the links near the top of this post. I’m linking each post as it gets published.
Avoid These Mistakes When You Start Your Blog
There’s a reason I wrote my free 7 day email course on how to start a blog the way I did. I want to save you as much stress and heartache as possible by setting you up for success from the start.
Many of my mistakes were made because I had no idea what I was doing when I started blogging in 2006. There wasn’t much information about blogging back then. I fumbled my way through. I learned from my successful blogging friends, attended blog conferences, joined local WordPress meetups, went to every WordCamp I could, and read more online articles than I can remember. And now I’m sharing what I learned here on Diana Starts.

These should be some interesting blog posts. It’s always a little embarrassing to publicly share your failures. But if they can help at least one person, it will be worth it.
